REVELAR GILBERTO DE ALENCAR, CRONISTA

Resumo

Este artigo é uma reflexão, resultado parcial deuma pesquisa em andamento, apresentada comoprojeto de Estágio Pós-doutoral à Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa, RJ (2017), na Linha de Pesquisa: Regaste. O argumento preliminar é recolher as crônicas de autoria do escritor mineiro, Gilberto de Alencar (1886-1961), publicadas na Revista Alterosa, periódico que circulou entre 1939 e 1964 (TAVARES, 2015). A proposta de investigação percorrerá dois caminhos: primeiro, compreender o entrelaçamento existente entre a memória resgatada e a produção das narrativas literária e não-literária, redigidas em forma de crônicas; o segundo, elaborar uma edição anotada deste lote documental. O recorte temporal será definido após a verificação da frequência de publicações do mencionado cronista neste periódico mineiro. Elaborar esta edição anotada, que registra um aspecto da produção alencariana, é um modo a revisitar suas memórias, permitindo-lhe vida e voz, na medida em as crônicas forem sendo recolhidas, organizadas e elaboradas as suas fontes. Esta ação é um ato de preservação e de divulgação da herança intelectual de Gilberto de Alencar e permite, deste modo, agregar dados significativos à fortuna crítica do escritor e à história da cultura literária mineira.

ABSTRACT

This article is a reflection, partial result of a research in progress, presented as a postdoctoral project to the Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation, RJ (2017), in the Research Line: Regaste. The preliminary argument is to collect the chronicles written by Gilberto de Alencar (1886-1961), published in Revista Alterosa, a periodical that circulated between 1939 and 1964 (TAVARES, 2015). The research proposal will go through two paths: first, to understand the interweaving between the rescued memory and the production of literary and non-literary narratives, written in the form of chronicles; The second, to prepare an annotated edition of this documentary batch. The research period will be defined after verifying the frequency of publications of the aforementioned chronicler in this periodical. Elaborating this annotated edition, which registers an aspect of Alencarian production, is a way to revisit his memories, allowing him life and voice, as the chronicles are being collected, organized and elaborated its sources. This action is an act of preservation and dissemination of the intellectual heritage of Gilberto de Alencar and allows, in this way, to add significant data to the writer's critical fortune and to the history of the literary culture of Minas Gerais.
