O PROTAGONISMO NEGRO NA POESIA E NA CULTURA AFRO-BRASILEIRA

Resumo

Essa análise busca concentrar-se nas inquietações que problematizam as noções de racismo e epistemicídio a partir da estetização étnica do corpo feminino negro, na cultura afro-brasileira e na poesia de Conceição Evaristo e de Elisa Lucinda. Pretende-se investigar a relação desequilibrada e desigual de poder na construção e na dimensão da diferença entre etnia, bem como as significações hierarquizadas que legitimam o racismo insidioso. É no corpo que ocorrem as representações da diferença que estão intimamente ligadas ao poder ou a seus efeitos. E é nesse contexto de poder que o racismo configura numa forma de dominação e de opressão. Concluímos, por meio desse percurso reflexivo, que o sujeito lírico é combativo às formas de opressão e que o seu corpo, ao escapar do terreno do corpo dócil, oferece resistência ao poder que regula e se manifesta nos níveis mais profundos das instituições democráticas. Têm-se como ponto de partida e suporte teórico os textos de Michel Foucault, Stuart Hall, Raymond Williams e Silviano Santiago. Para tanto, recorrer-se-á a outros autores sem, no entanto, esgotar todas as possibilidades de leitura.

ABSTRACT

This analysis aims at focusing on misplacing the notions of racism and epistemicide from ethnic aesthetics of black female body, in african brazilian culture and in Conceição Evaristo’s and Elisa Lucinda poetry. We intend to investigate the unbalanced and non-equal power in construction and dimension of difference between races as well as hierarchic meanings that legitimate insidious racism. It is in the body that occurs the representation of difference intimately linked to power and its effects. It is in this context of power, racism becomes a form of superiority and oppression. We conclude in this research that the speaker fights against oppressive forces and its body, out of the idea of docile body, offers resistance to power which regulates and expresses itself in the lowest levels of democratic institutions. As a starting point and theoretical support we refer to texts of Michel Foucault, Stuart Hall, Raymond Williams and Silviano Santiago. For this aim we use other authors without running out the possibilities of reading the analyzed poems.
