O MEDO E A VIOLÊNCIA NO RIO DE JANEIRO: A CONSTRUÇÃO DOS SUJEITOS NO ORDENAMENTO DA CIDADE

Resumo

Este artigo busca mostrar como se dão as narrativas sobre as violências no Rio de Janeiro, com foco em alguns sujeitos envolvidos com esta questão no jornal O Globo. A análise leva em conta a década que antecedeu a implantação das Unidades de Polícia Pacificadora. Três sujeitos cuja frequência é maior neste período nas páginas do periódico serão destacados: os traficantes de droga, os milicianos e os agentes da ordem (policiais).

ABSTRACT

This article seeks to show how the narratives about violence are given in Rio de Janeiro, focusing on some subjects involved with this issue in the newspaper O Globo. The analysis takes into account the decade that preceded the implementation of the Pacifying Police Units. Three subjects whose frequency is greatest in this period in the pages of the periodical will be highlighted: the drug traffickers, the militiamen and the agents of the order (policemen)
