NÃO CONTEM COM O FIM DO LEITOR

Resumo

Em meados dos anos 1990, maneiras distintas de relacionamento foram constituídas a partir da disseminação das novas tecnologias e dos diversos recursos disponibilizados pela Internet e pelos aparatos eletrônicos. Citamos, ainda nesta seara, a construção coletiva e democrática de território virtual expressivo e vasto. Neste artigo, pretendemos apresentar breve panorama a respeito do espaço virtual nas duas últimas décadas, com o primordial intuito de discutir o lugar do leitor e da Literatura em tempos contemporâneos. Partindo do universo dos adolescentes, serão abordadas as profecias sobre a morte da escrita, difundidas no início deste século. Em seguida, serão tomadas como base as recentes discussões acerca da morte do jovem leitor, disseminadas em virtude das constantes inovações tecnológicas. Procuramos propor olhar menos rígido e pessimista a respeito das mídias digitais, nos tornando possível compreender que as transformações dos últimos anos estão modificando a Literatura e criando um jovem leitor ainda mais atuante, crítico e apaixonado pelos livros impressos.

ABSTRACT

In the middle of the 1990s, different ways of relationship were constituted by the dissemination of new technologies and the various resources made available by the Internet and electronic devices. We still cite the collective and democratic construction of expressive and vast virtual territory. In this article, we intend to present a brief panorama about virtual space in the last two decades, with the main purpose of discussing the place of the reader and of Literature in contemporary times. Starting from the universe of the adolescents, the prophecies on the death of the writing will be approached and, the spread at the beginning of this century. Then, the recent discussions about the death of the young reader, disseminated by virtue of constant technological innovations, will be taken as a basis. We seek to propose something  less rigid and pessimistic about digital media, making it possible to understand that the transformations of recent years are changing Literature and creating a young reader who is even more active, critical and passionate about printed books.
